The Association of Pastry Chefs is a Friendly Society founded in 1993 by a small group of Pastry Chefs working in the London area, we are now country-wide with a growing number of international members too.
The purpose was to provide a network by which like minded chefs could meet socially away from the pressures of the Industry.
It soon became apparent that other benefits would arise from such meetings, namely learning about new ideas and new products and the exchange of recipes. A key part of our aims now includes encouraging development and learning for our members and encouraging the highest standards in our industry.
Membership is now growing fast with applicants from all over the UK and abroad.
The Association consists of Full, Junior and Associate Members who supply products and services to the industry,.The Association is controlled by a Committee of around 12 Members who work in and around London area.
There are also Honorary Members the Statesmen of our Profession.
Membership is only open to Pastry Chefs, Chocolatiers, Pastry Commis and to Companies supplying products and service for the Pastry Industry.
The Committee consists of around 12 members who work mainly in the London area. The pressure of work can limit the attendance to our monthly meetings as our trade becomes more demanding and we normally end up with 5-6 people at a meeting.
We welcome any member who wishes to join us at a meeting, email email@example.com to find out when the next meeting is.
All the committee members are working pastry chefs from the finest establishments and businesses in UK and dedicate there spare time to the Association on a voluntary basis.
We welcome new committee members but you must be committed and able to attend at least three quarters of meetings, which are normally held Monthly in central London on a Monday or Wednesday evening.
